Version 15.1 upgrade

With version 15.1, the ServerNet network layer is delivered in a final version. As a result, starting with version 15.1, the 64-bit version of 4D Server for OS X is no longer provided in a preversion; it is now in a final version and can thus be used in production.

With release v15, 4D provides an operational preview of the 4D Server 64-bit version for OS X (several earlier previews have already been provided during the v14 R-release program).

Thanks to this new product your 4D Server applications will now be able to take full advantage of the power of 64-bit Apple machines.

For a description of the 4D Server 64-bit version for OS X features and requirements, please refer to the Using 4D Server 64-bit version (OS X) section in the 4D Server Reference manual.

Implementation note: The application part of the 4D Server 64-bit version for OS X is final, but the integrated ServerNet network layer still needs a few more optimizations and is currently provided in preview release. As such, it is not recommended to deploy 4D Server 64-bit version for OS X in production.
