_o_AP Save BMP 8 bits

_o_AP Save BMP 8 bits ( image ; file ) -> Function result
Parameter Type   Description
image  Picture in Name of a 4D picture variable
file  Text in Name of the file in which the BMP will be saved
Function result  Longint in 0, if the operation was successful; otherwise a system error code

Compatibility Notes:

  • This command is now obsolete; it is kept only for compatibility reasons and will be removed in future versions of the plug-in. It is strongly recommended to use the 4D commands of the "Pictures" theme.
  • This command is not supported in 64-bit version of 4D Pack for OS X.

_o_AP Save BMP 8 bits saves any 4D picture variable in a regular 8-bit BMP picture (256 colors and no compression). If an identically named file is located where you want to save the picture, it is replaced without warning. This command works on both Macintosh and Windows platforms.

If the operation is successfully completed, the function returns 0; otherwise, it returns a negative error code.
