LOCATE
The LOCATE function returns the starting position of the 1st occurrence of an arithmetic_expression found within a second arithmetic_expression. You can also pass a third arithmetic_expression to specify the character position where the search must begin. This example will return the position of the first letter X found in the last names of the PEOPLE table: SELECT FirstName, LOCATE('X',LastName)
